A team of 3 ROI members delivered a week’s teaching at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing. Marilyn travelled to India and networked with Sylvia Wright at Rangammal Hosp to arrange an expedition in Oct 2012

Mari Singleton, Marilyn Williams and Jane Jones trained 14 members of staff at Rangammal Hosp, Tiruvannamalai, South India

Marilyn Williams, Mari Singleton and Alicia Falero were part of an expedition in Pondicherry, India offering a week's training with Student Nurses, HIV Counsellors and Village women.

Feb
Dawn Gosling, Alicia Falero,Marilyn Williams and Jo Jeffrey went on India expedition working with HIV clients and carers in Bangalore aand Mysore

Feb
Marilyn Williams, John Parham and Nicki Bowers travelled to India making contacts for an expedition the following year.

Expedition 2005 in Uganda and operates at TASO Kampala, TASO Tororo, TASO Mbale, TASO Masaka and Medical Missionaries of Mary (MMM) Makondo.

Mary Lukubo, Founder member of The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) of Uganda becomes the first Patron of the ROI..

2004
14 Oct to 12 Nov
Six members trained in Mbale and Tororo in Uganda. They were Alison Hunter, Nancy Porter, Ruth Roberts, Katie Wellings, Alison Crouch and Jean Reed.

Marilyn Williams went to India for three weeks to Bodhgaya in the Bihar area to explore for suitable training venues for future expeditions.


2003
Expedition to Uganda for 18 days in November. The four members were Sue Felgate, Irene Mc Ray, Jean Auty and Mari Singleton. They trained in TASO Mbale and TASO Kampala.


July
Eight members, Louisa Guy, Betsy Keating, Alison Hunter, Sylvia Bates, Sandra Hamilton, Jane Nightingale, John Parham and Nancy Porter, went for four weeks to train in Tororo and Kampala.

2002
The 2nd expedition to Uganda for 3 weeks, Pat griffin, Marilyn Williams and Joyce Salin trained.

2001
Seven members, Bob Lewis, Mari Singleton, Louisa Guy, Betsy Keating, Marilyn Williams, Gillian Romero and Tina Macadam trained for one month in Tororo and Kampala.This was the first expedition of the ROI
2000
Reflexology Outreach International (ROI) was founded. Betsy Keating placed an advert in Reflexions, the Association of Reflexologists Magazine asking for reflexologists to join her in an expedition to give reflexology to HIV patients in Uganda. Six people responded, Marilyn Williams, Mari Singleton, Bob Lewis, Tina Macadam, Gillian Romero and Louisa Guy. However the group decided they would teach reflexology, as this would be more empowering to the local people and so put together a teaching package to help people in need worldwide
